Alawys up to date link with additional rules CCEnhancer winapp2.ini file.
There is time stamp at the beginning of the file, so you may always be up to date without any program.

Latest CCenhancer list update is 26/09/10
    AND
    SOMETHING NEW!
Get the Latest Winapp2.ini File pinned topic at Piriform forums:
    http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=29438

Current link to alternative list(unfortunately if is always different):
    http://ompldr.org/vNW9qdw/winapp2.ini

Both lists are designed for 32 bit and 64 bit systems and both are very similar.
This secondc(new) list is updated frequently and it slightly more adaptive to CCleaner changes. Staff please add it to first post. SBfreak will blame me again .

    ---------- Post added at 09:25 ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 ----------

    huge edit bump

Staff Edit: added to the first post, thanks!

Pickle You mean you found some winapp2.ini extension file registry cleanup inaccuracy? Maybe registry cleaning feature of ccleaner?
Or it is beware because some day you may wipe your important registry entry?

Yes, you can use ccleaner to clean your hdd but not for registry, that is my suggestion to live registry alone. In contrast you may defrag it.

Personally, I do "clean" my registry with Glarysoft Registry Cleaner, and sometimes CCleaner's built-in feature. I can't really notice a difference, but it makes me feel better to know I've removed useless crap. Plus I have daily backups in case anything goes wrong.

Defragging the registry files can make a big speed difference, though.

Actually, cleaning Prefetch folder is not a bad idea. I do it on regular basis. On some of my computers I even disable it.
