What is ManyCam?
- Use your webcam with multiple programs simultaneously.
- Add text to your webcam video window with any application.
- Add cool animations to your video window.
- Show your local day and date in your video window.
- Add live CGI graphics like fire and water effects. You can even make it appear as if it is snowing inside your house!

• Removed the ManyCam Virtual Driver, now ManyCam uses a DirectShow filter as the Virtual Cam Source.
• Removed requirement for Indeo codec.
• New Picture in Picture Function.
• New Playlist output source.
• It is now possible to open multiple files or a folder containing files for Movies and Images.
• New Video Output Controls (pause, record).
• Updated frame rate slider for Desktop video source.
• New effects (Cartoonizer, Old movie, Matrix, Night Vision, Thermal Vision).
• Bug fixes and stability enhancements.

Fake Webcam is useful for making video "tutorials" on the fly via MSN and other IM services. Nice when a friend that knows little about the matter asks you how to fix something in his computer.

I'd call the MSN cam window a bit small to actually give a decent representation of someone's desktop. Maybe if it's zoomed in, I guess.

Probably better to just record your desktop as then the noobish friend can pause
