with paypal situation looks like a time for big changes in the BT scene. Demonoid were able to setup credit card donations but Im not sure how that will work out. maybe sonsolidation of user will pool together to form super-trackers where the weaker in need of greater donations to stay alive die off, maybe a bad situation as diversity maybe good.

SS itself was born from SoftMP3's ashes, they used the same source code and everything.

You know my stance on downloading Scene stuff from the big Ws

TPB and Dem are relatively good for music, yes, but you're throwing the dice with audio quality, if could be a perfect FLAC rip with a 100% log and cuesheet, or some lossy-to-lossy 128 CBR MP3 transcode from Limewire stuff... and even if I can't tell the difference I don't want the latter kind... not to mention that when I leech from public trackers, I have to fully seed it back (it's a personal policy).

Oh well, we still have VIPMusic, ST and FileMP3 I guess.

Personally, I hope v2 never makes it. The only good thing about is is the ability to force SSL on the frontend and tracker via your profile.
