    Question Recommend a scifi movie?

    Hey All,

    any recommendations for a space epic / sci-fi movie? Something with space battles, but not star wars or star trek (seen them to many times), something else.

    It is very disappointing that such few sci-fi movies are being made any more, enough with the god damn teen vampires already!

    BSG has some pretty awesome battle sequences, but looking for a movie/self contained story. Perhaps anime is the way to go? Don't shoot me, but I prefer my anime in English!

    Any suggestions?

    Thx in advance

    Ya missed one! Sunshine (awesome movie!)

    It is kinda creepy that I have almost everyone of those movies on Bluray or(and!) DVD. The Chronicles Of Riddick another underrated movie (I got that one on HD DVD as well )

    A really good one is "Event Horizon"!

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd0nQUF00Sg]YouTube - Event Horizon Trailer[/ame]

    And what about the two-part episodes of Star Trek (Next Generation and Voyager)? There is some cool Borg-Action!

    Went with Enemy Mine, one small space battle in it, would have been better off watching some BSG I think. Ordered Event Horizon on Bluray though! :)

    one of my all time favs is aliens (the second part). no space battles but more than enough action and a very deep atmosphere (a thing that most later movies failed to achieve imho)
