Morgan Freeman performance was disappointing i admit , but overall it was a good movie.

There sure is a lot of crappy movies around. Probably all Uwe Boll movies.
If you want a suggestion for a movie not to watch, I'd say Speed Racer (2008). Pretty lame acting, overuse of special effects and dumb storyline. I was hyped since it was directed by the Wachowski brothers. Terrible overall experience.

Because of the Ending... didn't fulfil my expectations.
can't remember seeing such an odd character in a movie before, not to mention the (subtle) mockery of UN effectiveness, or a lack of the usual hero character or the ghettoized aliens (similar to the slums in mega-cities), that was an unusual mix
it doesn't need to be actually all new (as 90% ideas were already tried out more or less successfully), just an interesting/unusual combination of used ideas, with a specific twist that keeps the viewer interestednot new either
possible, but generally speaking i'd always go for a good story/characters rather than cgi/effectsmaybe they just wanted to save money?

I didn't like it either. It was too slow for me. One of those "how much time until it ends, how much time until it ends..." flicks. Of course I could just stop watching it and delete it, but I prefer watching movies till they end, even crappy ones - maybe so that having transcoded all of them becomes worth the effort.
Paranormal Activity sucked just as much.

The problem for me is; I can't resist not seeing the rating beforehand and unfortunately, the rating on IMDB play a big part of my rating to the movie. I don't know what to do
The acting was disappointing from all actors, even Matt Damon. However, what saved this movie is the story line, which I admit is very nice, especially that the story in general is true.
Regarding District9; a predictable plot -sadly- became part of most movies (with a few exceptions of course). For this reason, I think it can be neglected
I thought the movie was good, the acting was so different from other movies. The predictable part was the big part in the middle, however, I don't think that anyone expected such an ending. I thought the guy will be going with them
A bad movie to watch is "12 Angry Man", 7th on IMDB (8.8/10), maybe because it is a 1957 movie but it was boring.

is this the movie where its a jury and they get stuck because one guy thinks hes innocent? if so i had to watch this movie 3 times throughout middle/highschool. man i never want to see it again.

When I was watching it, I was snooring at the same time. I was forced to see it in the cinema with my GF.
Very very boring movie. But it's better than Uwe Boll's because i can asleep when watching Twilight.
True that for most sucked director is Uwe Boll and its movie. If I was forced to watch his movie, I would prefer to cancel the date.
