"Rio" is a 3-D animation feature from the makers of the "Ice Age" films. Set in the magnificent city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rainforest of Brazil, the comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind. When Blu discovers there's another — and that she's a she — he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it's far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's many wonders. "Rio" brings together a menagerie of vivid characters, a heart-warming story, colorful backdrops, energizing Latin and contemporary music, and family-friendly song and dance.

I love Brazil, I think Rio is a beautiful place, and I will sit like a baby, and eat popcorn like a fat kid while watching this one :)

I hope it has hot girls in bikinis as well

male emo/insecure parrots wouldn't stand a chance in the wilderness (domesticated ones also have a hard time coping with the wilderness), so this scenario is just used to shape the current youth population towards incompetence & meekness (useful for general control & depopulation purposes) as if it is something 'usual' or even desirable

naturally, when dealing with wild animals & rain-forests, the usual environmentalist themes can be expected, such as exaggerated caring for the so called extinct species or those near extinction (which is usually simply an assumption with questionable relevance in the natural cycle of life, but it does serve well for spreading feelings of guilt, burdening the conscience of emotional persons & environmentalists, profiteering from ample donations in this area and so on)

as a side note, only two specimens of a species are afaik not practically/realistically sufficient to actually allow for avoiding its extinction

as for the movie itself, looks like the usual collection of cliches, as if the children nowadays don't deserve some variations concerning the core story elements, just shuffling different animals for different movies doesn't really 'cut it', regardless of the animation quality
