    Well, mainly i use OpenVPN and Samba
    When i Use FTP, i usually use FileZilla or FlashFXP.

    FlashFXP is what actual sceners use. What OS are you on? There are a bunch of good open source FTP clients.

    FTP has the problem of corruption being possible, though. And always make sure you run in binary mode and not ascii mode!
