Didn't Mihai try 1GB/s on a The* tracker, to get away with it?

Because with Vuze with ++ , or any other SBI mod setting on slow-as-she-goes, Im sure that you can effectivly cheat anywhere. Cheating fast is the problem

I agree the point is to cheat with high speeds as a consequence you will get a big buffer or a decent ratio

I agree on thebox being one of the quite hard trackers to play around, due to the fact that they keep a very clean close eyes on newely registered users till their grace period (ranging from 40 to 45 days upon sgning up) is ran out. Also,What.cd used to be quite hard in the past but after they started to beat Waffles up in terms of torrents collection & who would gather the bigger database, they started to care less about security issues.

Actually, What.cd's scripts have improved a lot during the last year.

They roam the web my friend just like you by which they are probably members of this mighty board, so don't get surprised on their ban list as they want to cut losses to the minimum.

It's said v1.7.7 has a different piece-picking system that makes downloads faster. I never checked this myself.

That's interesting, I've heard people saying the new 2.0 version is slower than previous ones. I've haven't tried it myself but if true that would mean utorrent development is getting worse and worse. I'm probably going to be switching to an open sourced one eventually.. there's something about utorrent I don't like

googling I found an old post from them:
"Note: Clients based on the libtorrent library need to be using the latest version. Older versions of the library interfere with our cheat detection."
That's interesting indeed, what would an older version do that the new one doesn't ? The headers sent to the tracker I imagine?
