    Problems becoming connectable

Lol, okay. Uh, I don't think my ports are forwarded therefore I barely upload anything. Will this affect how/what the mod reports to the tracker? I normally only upload a couple kB's on private trackers or MB's if it's on TPB (no use on public trackers, I know ).

No, but I do strongly advice you become connectable, it can improve your download speeds as well.

the how won't be affected, but the what (how much) may be as it uploads only if you also really upload, just more than you would normally

that will be a problem if the number of leechers is low as you should be connected to them (at least to one) for the shu mod to enhance/enlarge the upload (if that occasional connectivity happens you can manually raise the speed to get the expected amounts of upload per announce)

also .ro users seem to to be more affected by this since they sometimes have trouble connecting to european users, try it out and see how it works

again, well leeched torrents should be priority for increasing your buffer

You're talking about the Shu Mod? You can set it to fake whenever you want regardless of peer connections by setting both "stop increasing the fake upload when..." settings to 0. This has the drawback of the mod keeping on faking even without any leechers, though.

How do I become connectable? I'm using an AirLink AR315W router, btw. I've tried "Simple Port Forwarding". I tried another model of this router brand that was in the list because this specific model isn't there. I used another program that makes my IP static and it changed it, but that doesn't seem to help because this is what I get after using Simple Port Forwarding:

Router: AirLink - AR430W (AirLink Firmware)
    Loading Commands...
Number Of Port Forwards To Send To Router (1)
    Running Commands...

    (Current - 1/1)
Adding µTorrent (TCP/UDP) For Ports 45682-45682 To 192.168.5.240()

Running Script From Database For Selected Router
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Step 01. nav_first_only("app_pf.php")

    !ERROR! (Navigating to h**p://192.168.5.1/app_pf.php)
    This Entry Will be Skipped.
Please Check your Router Info And Try Again.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Finished Adding µTorrent

    -------------------DONE! (All Commands Finished)-------------------

Yes it does have a web interface and I'm not sure if it has a CLI because I don't normally mess with the router.

UPnP is enabled in both the router and uTorrent, but that doesn't seem to help much.

Another weird thing is that in uTorrent 2.0, if you go to Options -> Setup Guide or ctrl + G, I check my network and it says this:
Results: Port is open. Your network is properly configured.
But if I go to Port Checker - Torrent - a (very) tiny BitTorrent client, it says it doesn't appear to be open.

    you should start doing so
use a fixed port in ut and configure the router accordingly. don't know that model but the webinterfaces are really not hard to use normally

Hmm, I keep trying to do it, but whenever I'd use the "Simple Static IP", I can't connect to the internet (I use wireless, btw). I think I'll just leave it as I'm on a 256k connection and I normally max out my connection.

the port forwarding has nothing to do with your outside ip. only your local lan ip and port have to be static.

The LAN IP is your internal one (in the router's network) and should look like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x. You can make it static via Network Connections:

Thank you so much for that link, anon. I've managed to change my IP to static. I'm sure I did what that other link you gave me to PortForward said to do properly also, but I tried PFPortChecker and it said that my port is not open.

I also used uTorrent 2.0's Setup Guide and it said:
Results: Port is not open (you are still able to download).
uTorrent also has a red icon at the bottom...any ideas on what I could do now?
