I find VLC to be a much better choice. Clean, nice and doesn't use much space Though, it's all up to the persons' taste.

KM player is superior by all means.Still using vlc for broken-bad files though.

I still think that the codecs installed that come in a codec pack are superior to those inserted into VLC, though that certainly has it's uses, too.
