I am sorry for your loss :( . I can feel your pain cause I lost my only dog when I was relatively young. That is the saddest feeling. I haven't had the courage to get another dog fearing that I might lose it again :( .

it has been a pretty nasty place for quite some time (at least for a few millennia) - currently its simply mutating from one form of 'nasty' into another, with no signs of some general/overall 'recovery'
as a side note to the above, it can be said that the western society has a pretty unhealthy 'relationship' to the subject of death (prejudice might be an accurate term), where a perfectly natural event is viewed as something devastating/traumatizing, something that should be fought by any means and prevented at all costs, instead of trying to understand/realize what is it all about, what is its real meaning/significance - yet another sign of a degrading/degraded society: one that deals the least with that which is most important (fundamental), ie. deals the most with that which is superficial

While the cage provided protection with 3.5 Million toothpicks, the antivirus protection provided by AVG comes from its 98 Million users.

Ordinary toothpicks stuck together in some kind of puzzle arrangement might make it. Glue might too. But it would probably need to be some super-glue type of product.
