    Yes. That's how much it costs.

    Thanks

    While Americans are still forking out big bucks for Internet plans under 100Mbps, Romanian ISP RCS & RDS plans to offer 1Gbps connections from November at just US$18 per month.

    Digi Net 500 customers can expect to pay close to US$15 for a 500Mbps connection (down speeds 62.5 MB per second) while Digi Net 1000 customers will have access to 1Gbps speeds, which means you can download 125MB per second. Over in the US, an Google’s equivalent Gigabit plan costs US$70.

    For now, only customers in urban areas will have access to the fast service. They do plan to expand into the more rural countryside later on. They’ve also advised customers who plan to use the 1Gbps service to upgrade their home wireless routers to support the blazing fast down speeds.

    @Master Razor:

    any limits on the total monthly transfer, the infamous 'fair usage' for heavy down/up-loaders or speed-reduction penalties?
    Thanks

    @slikrapid
    None whatsoever. You are free download as much as you like.

    'read and weep' i guess:
    The Gigabit Ethernet is still expensive to most of use here based on the fact that we simply do not need it. 100MB is more than enough and is the perfect balance service quality / price. Gigabit requires a fast CPU if at all you except it to work right, not to mention a good HDD (SSD would be the bewst choice) and a very good router to support that kind of speed. My router, for instance, reaches 100% CPU usage when I'm downloading at full speed. Once in 100%, the router limits the bandwidth. Talk about low priced networking elements.

    Romania is very poor country. Maybe 18$ isn't that much for you guys but here it makes a difference.

    100 Mb? I hope you don't pull a splicer and leave us.

    Those are some really good prices.

    If you need to block network access for executables on an individual basis, you can use NoNet - Prevent a Windows application from accessing Winsock functions

    OMG! That is insane. If I get lucky and transfer to cable provider, I'll pay 50€ per month. I would get a phone, 2xIPTV and 50MB internet connection.
    Thanks

    Even if you had the most powerful connection on the planet you still could not do anything with it if restricted by copyright laws.

    Look at this people:
    5 Ways to Use Vinegar for Household Cleaning - wikiHow

    I have tried vinegar for removing odors from casseroles and confirm that it works but I'm puzzled about the window cleaning bit. Does using vinegar and water 50/50 do a good job on windows?
    Thanks

    Case in point: Japan. They also have 1 Gbit connections but laws are pretty strict there, as far as I've been told.

    Coca-Cola is also said to have a variety of similar uses.

    Difference being that vinegar is 100% natural. Plus, I think its best to prepare your cleaning solutions at home as its always cheaper and more times better.
    Thanks

    Yeah.We have great speeds.Too bad Romanians are banned on most good trackers where that speed actually matters.
    Thanks

    Hypothetical speaking, let's say Joe loved a girl when he was about 10 years old. Joe loved her very much and admired everything she did. However, Anna didn't see that and instead made fun of him, called him weak and pathetic.
    Despite this, Joe continued to love her because he was far to in love to see the truth. They were in their final school years and got separated by life and they never spoke again. it was only after the separation that Joe realized she didn't care.
    It's been 18 years...

    Would this kind of behavior leave Joe with scars?

    Read the first post and connected it to what I've written above.
    Thanks
