What shadowww said - unless the disposable e-mail service changes its domain name (and doesn't allow you to use the old one, like with GuerrillaMail) or shuts down, you can always reuse the same addy if you forget your password.

They may not like you used a disposable addy, even if that doesn't break their rules

I guess you could go for "I was in a rush", "I couldn't log in to my GMail", "I forgot to change the address once I got it", ...

yeah, that'd make for a great sticky: excuses for cheaters.

with stuff like "what to say when i got banned" or "how to explain why i'm able to upload faster than my isp is offering" ...

I could help with that, but this:
"how to explain why i'm able to upload faster than my isp is offering" ...
    Is a bit difficult

haha, those lines made my day :)

but I was just wondering, do most sites save your old email if you change?

Because I'm switching a few gmails with disposable so I can free it up for other purposes.

If you're referring to trackers, Gazelle ones log all e-mail changes. Those based on a custom TBdev may do it as well.

I don't think so. With the small amount of database space storing past e-mail addresses uses, the ability to detect traders and such it gives is worth it.

When I did the what.cd test, they asked for a nonhotmail email to send the confirmation link to. Does gazelle log that as well :(?

I don't really know, but I'd assume it does.

yes, all email addresses used for the sending and confirmation of invites as well as all email addresses you ever use for your profile (if you change your email address) are saved in the database. All unique IP addresses for each login and announce are saved as well. All of these items are saved permanently by default in gazelle for cross- referencing and searching by staff. Gazelle is relatively new, but I doubt that most trackers will purge this information to "save space." There is also a section for notes on individual users profiles for things such as irc logs and image links.

The best practice would be to make a new email address for each account and get a new ip address(if at all possible).

Meh. New email is easy (fastmail), but IP.....having to explain to your ISP why you need to change your IP a third time in one month will only wok for so long.

Im guessing they cant store this info forever, no? And if they do, wouldn't the database/tables get to damn large?

If asking them is the only way to change it, that is.
