I understand I didn't use the Quote tag I'm sorry about that , how long will the infraction last?

I did tell you to use it when editing your other posts, and the edit reason got PMed to you by the Notification System.

Just a notice... You can use "Thanks" button which is next to quote button when you want to thank somebody for sth.
