Look inside Linux Partions from Windows.

/there is a program called EXT2IFS which, after installing it through Windows XP or Vista or which ever Win OS, will allow you to see what is inside your Linux OS.

I have not found any problems using it and it's extremely easy to use.

After installing it, the program will install inside your WinOS Control Panel as an IFS Drive icon.

I was perusing the Puppy Linux forums and this is where I found it

Here's a couple of snapshots of being able to see inside the Puppy LInux OS drive directly via Win OS and having some access to it.

There are options when installing this proggy which can be installed on Win but not on Linux OS.

    and here....

an alternative is a GUI software that is located here:

I use this Tool/driver pretty much, nearly all my storage-devices are formatted as Ext2.
The interchangeability of HDs between Linux and Windows systems combined with Support for files larger than 4gibs is a feature i don't wanna miss.

The link that I gave mistakenly has for the version 0.3X

ext2 file system sux very much. Doesn't have journaling - meaning you can very easily lose your date if power failure comes.
Its recommended that you switch to ext3 (which is backward compatibile with ext2 so it can be done without loosing data).

Overall, program is interesting, but I see no use for me. I format my linux partitons as XFS anyway.
