    Browser Security Test

I just found one useful online Browser Security Test, which is absolutely free to use. Nothing complex, just head on to the website Browser Security Test. It will identify your browser details. Click on the Start Security Test, and your browser will be grilled with some rigorous testing. This tool is available for both of the popular Internet browsers, Internet Explorer and Firefox.

It works with Opera as well:

Adobe Flash Player video file parsing integer overflow - passed
Opera JavaScript invalid pointer arbitrary code execution - passed
Apple QuickTime MOV file JVTCompEncodeFrame heap overflow - passed

Congratulations! The test has found no vulnerabilities in your browser!

because the test tool is outdated

Remember, this is a bit old tool, and if you are running the current versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox, most likely your browsers will pass through these test. But still a useful eye-opening tool for those not in a habit of regular software updates.

You're right cheatos: The test is a little bit too old.
If you like to have a secure system you should update every application, which uses the internet:
I use Secunia PSI - a little program which scan the pc and tell you every secure hole.

This program tests other software as well. For sure you must update manually, but you never forget to update* - even if the application has no autoupdate.

    little correction:

it will only scan within windows and might not be aware of all risks. especially when someone is using a tweaked registry e.g.

It scan any software which has an existing filename and path with a normal drive letter. Software on a drive which is currently not mounted can't be found.
Registry hacks and binary hacks will only increase the program version - which is your own risk.
(For detecting the version PSI uses often the normal binary - no registry or other options)

Other hacks, which are produced by "system tools" or registry hacking for sure can't be found.
