dta is great, the only flaw is that it can't resume downloads and that's something i reallly wanna have in every dl manager but it's perfect for ripping galleries and stuff

Are you sure? Its homepage says it can, and last time I tried it I was able to do so (and that was with a now old version, so I see no reason for this aspect to have changed). Perhaps the servers you've downloaded from coincidentally don't support resuming, which isn't unheard of.

By the way, every time I see DTA's full name I read "down the mall", not "down them all".
