Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.


Single Exe version (All in One)
Single Exe version doesnt need Vuze installed on your PC just download, extract and run the exe. Only java is needed to be installed.

Additional Info:
You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.

edit: whatever, i just used the newest azuerus version to emulate.
anyways, i set all the mod options, and started downloading a torrent, and finished, but it is not uploading. any ideas why this would happen?

Uploading or faking upload? And what are your settings for that torrent?

neither. I have it set almost identical to the settings in your guide. except i turned off the hit and run setting. there is 14 peers on the torrent, and i connect to them if i stop than start the torrent, but then i end up disconnecting form them without real or fake uploading. no idea whats going on. nat is ok. torrent has a blue face.

hmmm. seems as if what.cd is timed out. I thought they said they have fixed that? should i try a different tracker to see if i have the settings wrong, or if its just what.cd acting up?

sorry, what setting are you talking about? I have 18f checked, but i dont think thats the problem since it says the swarm speed is like 500 mb.

I meant 13. Set both of those settings to 0 if you haven't already.

Yes, since it'll fake even if the torrent has 0 leechers. But it's better than having to wait until you connect to enough leechers or the peer:seed ratio is good enough, I think.

Your settings look fine, but remember those are the global ones - every torrent keeps individual settings, you can check them by double-clicking it and going to the SB-I Hack Fake tab.

But if they're the same I'm not really sure of what could be causing your problem. Perhaps you're doing fake preseeding without the files, or have already reached your fake ratio?

Another user reported a similar issue, but that was on MacOS.
