Installation:
1. Download and install Azureus (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
2. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
3. Extract the RAR using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Azureus (C:\Program Files\Azureus) and overwrite ALL files.
4. Run Azureus and Enjoy!

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
2. You have removed the Azureus folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Azureus).
3. You have removed the Azureus folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Azureus for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Azureus for Vista
4. Reinstalled Azureus using the package from Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded RAR.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Azureus settings.


Single Exe version (All in One)
Single Exe version doesnt need Vuze installed on your PC just download, extract and run the exe. Only java is needed to be installed.

Additional Info:
You can upgrade from a previous version seamlessly - your torrent list will not be lost.

my Azureus version downgrade to 4.2.0.4

am using 4.2.0.8

and when update it Extreme mod gone

and why i can`t access the latest version of extreme mod

Because when you insert a mod, it overwrites the original files, thus reporting as 4.2.0.4 and it will the one used if no spoof options are chosen. After setting up a hacked version you shouldn't enable auto-updating anymore, as it would download official files thus invalidating the hack.

Again, read the announcement in the first page about member title. The newest versions are only available to full members and up.

This version is based on 4.2.0.7, which identifies itself as 4.2.0.4.

When a new Azureus version adds new config parameters to the file, your torrent list is wiped.

is there any way to import\export download list? maybe some kind of utility or else
I have huge dlist and can't update my vuze because of that crap since 3rd version ;(

When a version introduces new parameters to the config file, the torrent list will be lost. It'll be overwritten even if you put a backup after upgrading. I think there's nothing you can do...

use that torrent that u actually downloading or want to seed..others is ur choice..

or maybe u can try copy & paste things 4m azures's setting to ur new vuze setting..(not surety it works or not)

Hello all =)
I have a little question (don't really know if this is the right thread to post in: move me / delete me / kill me if not so)...
I'm currently running Azureus on a linux headless d-box, managing it via SSH, but I had to attach a monitor to the cabinet for a first-run configuration of Azureus. Is a Console-Ui kind of configuration possibile for this mod?
