* Do not defy the expressed wishes of the staff!
* Please respect the staff and their decisions. If you don't agree with the decision contact another staff member.
* Only one account is allowed. Having more than one will result in all of them being disabled.
* Accounts with no activity for 30 days will be automatically deleted. Please note that torrent traffic is not considered site activity - you have to sign in ! You can park your account (check your profile) to prevent deletion due to inactivity. The time limit for parked accounts is 100 days.
* Accounts that have total traffic (download + upload) smaller than 10GB/month will be disabled after a 1-week warning. This is an average value, actually you are not forced to upload/download every month. Freelech download isn't taken into account.
* (New) Accounts with 0 activity, no download (free torrents not included) and no upload, are automatically deleted after being a member for 10 days.
* Buying upload credit DOES NOT exempt you from the rules
* Offensive Usernames will be immediately banned. This also goes for Usernames like Admin or Hd-BiTs, etc.
* Do not act in a manner that might be considered abusive towards anybody.
* No other language than English in the torrent comments. You will get a 1-week warning.
* No other language than English in the forums. Exceptions: Romanian in "RO User Zone" forums and other languages in "Foreign Legion" forum. Your post will be deleted and you will get a 1-week warning.
* Do not ask for freeleech. You will get a 2-week warning, or worse, be disabled.
* Users making false reports (ie reporting a torrent or a comment) will receive a 2-week warning.
* Do not ask the moderators for invites. You will receive a 2-week warning.
* Ask the staff to remove your warning if and only if you believe you are innocent. Violations of this rule will result in an indefinite warning. Use THIS as your first resource.
* Always respect the work of the uploader. If you don`t like the torrent , don`t comment or download it.
* Access to the newest torrents is conditional on a good ratio! (See the FAQ for details.)
* Wait time works like this:
From the time that each new torrent is uploaded to the tracker, there is a period of time that some users must wait before they can download it.
This delay in downloading will only affect users with a low ratio, and users with low upload amounts.
Ratio below 0.5 and/or upload below 5.0GB delay of 24h.
Ratio below 0.65 and/or upload below 6.5GB delay of 12h.
Ratio below 0.80 and/or upload below 8.0GB delay of 6h.
Ratio below 0.95 and/or upload below 9.5GB delay of 3h.
"And/or" means any or both. Your delay will be the largest one for which you meet at least one condition.
This applies to users with join time bigger than 4 weeks that aren`t yet Power Users minimum. Opening an new account also won`t help, because you will be banned. This wait-time works at tracker level, you will be able to grab the .torrent file itself at any time.
If you have a WARN(warn) wait time will be 24h.
N.B. Due to some users exploiting the 'no-delay-for-seeders' policy we had to change it. The delay now applies to both seeding and leeching. So if you are subject to a delay and get the files from some other source you will not be able to seed them until the delay has elapsed.
* Low ratios may result in severe consequences, including banning in extreme cases.
* No aggressive behaviour or flaming in the forums.
* No trashing of other peoples topics (i.e. SPAM).
* No language other than English in the forums.
* No systematic foul language (and none at all on titles).
* Bump posting or any kind of topic upping is not permited, doing such will result in deletion of the thread and a 2 week warn for the user doing it.
* No requesting if there has been no "scene" release in the last 7 days.
* No images larger than 800x600, and preferably web-optimised.
* No double posting. If you wish to post again, and yours is the last post in the thread please use the EDIT function, instead of posting a double.
* Do not request cracks, serials, keys or passwords.
* Last, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!
* The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg and .png.
* Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 150 px and a size of no more than 150 KB. (Browsers will rescale them anyway: smaller images will be expanded and will not look good; larger images will just waste bandwidth and CPU cycles.) For now this is just a guideline but it will be automatically enforced in the near future.
* Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images.
* Moderators have wide discretion on what is acceptable and what isn`t. If in doubt PM one of them.
* (New) Only upload HD material (movies 1080, 720 and audio – lossless/DTS) or related applications (for windows, linux or mac). The punishment for not respecting this basic rule is demotion.
* All uploads must include a proper NFO.
* All the data uploaded on the tracker should be unrared. No exception.
* Movies : All uploads must include a proper NFO, cover, description, IMDb link and minimum of 3 png screenshots (except full/complete Blu-ray's ) uploaded on
Image-bits: free image hosting services: JPEG, GIF and PNG .
* TV series: All uploads must include a cover and a short description.
* Music: All uploads with audio data must include a LOG file generated by the program used to rip the audio source (CD/DVD/other).
* Use a decent description. When you create a torrent make sure that others can decide if they will download your torrent only by looking at the description. Many of us are interested in technical details so... post tech specs like: sound, video size/bitrate, runtime and additional information. THIS program is used by most of the uploaders. If you don't have a proper description you will receive a warning.
* Always fill the genre field. At movies with the genres , separated by "/" and for apps the home page(link).
* Make sure your torrents are well-seeded for at least 24 hours or until 3 leechers became seeders.
* Stay active! You risk being demoted if you haven`t uploaded something for a long period of time. This only applies if you are an Uploader, not an Extreme User or VIP.
* Do not upload many torrents in an short interval of time if you don`t have a large bandwidt

* The most important rule: Use your better judgment!
* Don't be afraid to say NO! (a.k.a. "Helshad's rule".)
* Don't defy another mod in public, instead send a PM or through IM.
* Be tolerant! Give the user(s) a chance to reform.
* Don't act prematurely, let the users make their mistakes and THEN correct them.
* Try correcting any "off topics" rather then closing a thread.
* Move topics rather than locking them.
* Be tolerant when moderating the Chit-chat section (give them some slack).
* If you lock a topic, give a brief explanation as to why you're locking it.
* Always state a reason (in the user comment box) as to why the user is being banned / warned.
* Power User - Automatically given to (and revoked from) users who have been members for at least 4 weeks, have uploaded at least 300 GB and have a share ratio above 1.05. Moderator changes of status last only until the next execution of the script.
* Xtreme User - Automatically given to (and revoked from) users who have been members for at least 6 weeks, have uploaded at least 1 TB and have a share ratio above 2.05. Moderator changes of status last only until the next execution of the script.
* - This status is given ONLY by Staff Leaders since they are the only who can verify that the user bought upload.
* VIP -This status is given ONLY by the tracker's owner/administrator (a.k.a. Staff Leader) since only he can decide who becomes a VIP. No begging for VIP`s.
* Other - Customised title given by the staff members.
* Uploader - Appointed by Admins/SysOp. Send a PM to some Admin or SysOp if you think you have a good candidate.
* Moderator - Appointed by SysOp only. Send a PM to some SysOp if you think you have a good candidate.
* You can delete and edit forum posts.
* You can delete and edit torrents.
* You can delete and change users avatars.
* You can disable user accounts.
* You can edit the title of VIP's.
* You can see the complete info of all users.
* You can add comments to users (for other mods and admins to read).
* Do not abuse from your power.
* Check out the staff panel to see what you can do.
* Lastly, check out the Staff page (top right corner) to know your coleagues.
* Only invite people you know and trust.
* You will be held personally responsible for those you invite.
* If a person you invited is caught cheating by the the system, the consequences will be: first offence 4 week warning / second offence disable.
* If a person you invited is found to have more than 1 HD-BiTs account, you and everybody you ever invited will lose their invite privileges and you may also lose your account.
* If a person you invited is caught trading any HD-BiTs account or selling / trading HD-BiTs invites, you and everybody you ever invited will lose their invite privileges and you may also lose your account.
* Trading invites on forums/sites/other trackers will get you disabled wihout a notice.
* Autowarn - For users older than 4 weeks with a ratio below 0.5 and more than 4 GB download.
* Autodisable - After the 1-week autowarn, if the ratio is not above 0.5 .

* Do not set custom title to users. For that they should use the karma system.
* Talk politely to the users.
* When locking a topic , state a reason why , and move it to the Trash section of the forum.
* State on the "Add mod comment"(in the profile of a user) why you have taken an decision ( warning / disable / removed rights )
* Do not edit the posts of your staff coleagues only in critical situations. Better you should talk to him , and make him understand why his decision is wrong.
* Delete all torrents that are upconverted, low quality or bitrate-overkilled releases.
* Sharing means not only downloading, but more importantly, uploading. To ensure that you don't get a warning for H&R, you must do one of the following:
* Seed each torrent until their individual ratios are 1 or above
* Seed each torrent at least 48 hours continuous
* For those of you who can't keep their computer running 48h straight, you must seed for a total time of 72 hours, during a 7 day period (starting torrent completion)
* (New) Disregarding these rules will result in losing 5% (0.00 kB) of your current upload (0.00 kB) for every H&R.
