    Kann es sein, das die neue Version sauviel RAM schluckt? Bei mir ist es im normalbetrieb bei ca 150mb ram (bei einem gb ram)!! Ist das normal oder kann man das irgendwie beheben?

    There are indeed some tweaks you can apply to speed Firefox up a bit, such as pipelining, initial paint delay, etc. The Fasterfox addon can automatically take care of those, but doesn't work with versions above 2.0 (I think there's an "unofficial" version that does).

    Also have a look at this:

    Also keep in mind and I believe this is only relevant to the initial loading up of FF, and that has to do with the number of extensions installed.

    It's nice to have all these nice extensions, just consider how often you use them.

    @SealLion: hey buddy, long time no see and yeah it is true that it always depends on how your PC can boost up an application on a single click,but still some tools might accelerate the process a little bit.

    would you happen to have a link for this??

    actually, never mind. I found one here:

    check this out:

    Some of the key updates in Firefox 3.6:

    * Lightweight themes
    * Faster JavaScript handling
    * Improved form completion tools
    * Bookmark synchronization
    * Page load enhancements
    * Optimized session restore
    * A few additions to the CSS tech
    * Outdated plug-ins check
    the outed plugins is easy to overcome. There is an excellent extension that'll check to see if you want to over-ride the version number. Very excellent extension. It's called: Mr.Tech Toolkit.

    There were some extensions like PTTL and Mouse gestures redox that don't work with 3.5, but Mr. Tech Toolkit over-rides the version check. ....among many other things as well.
