    I just checked it out and I do not see a difference...I recently upgraded to KMPlayer and it is not but KM loads way too slow so I guess I will stick to VLC1.0

    but for osx, well mplayer is kind of buggy -> vlc

    I just did a new OS install on my main PC and switched to this. VLC seems to be more lightweight than MPC and I have less codec problems than with GOM player. I agree that MPC is much nicer looking and a quality program, but I like the simplicity of VLC.

    I use nightly build so no news for me, I like it. HD Codecs are a real innovation but I prefere MPC HD + FFDShow (can decode HD Audio too) + CoreAVC :)
