I cheat because of my asymmetric connection and low UL speed... 4Mb DL / 256kbps UL.
I cheat because I'm too smart to get caught ...I cheat because I can, I cheat because I'm too lazy to seed back what I download...I cheat because I need a "thrill"...I cheat because I got da bawllz to

Oh, oh. Better use LINUX.
I believe most of us cheat because of shitty upload speeds. I have upload speed of 64 kbps (Max of 8 to 10 KB/sec). To survive on good trackers, there is no other way out. No question of affording a seedbox at present. Besides, cheating is an art. It's a challenge and fun. Calculated risks, pushing to the last bit, it's fun.
wEll, I tell you guys here something. I cheat (and I think that I"ve mentioned this briefly before) is that I don't feel like seeding somthing for a month or so or even for 2 weeks.
Too damn long.
Better to get an improved ratio through cheating.
Somethime, and I mean sometimes, I do seed something intermittingly for about a week or so. To get some ratio, yes. But also b/c the torrent is low on seeders and I feel that the torrent is decent enough to continue being seeded.
Something else here and that is that at times, I see ( and I think you may have seen this before) is a torrent thats been online on a site for 6 months, a year or even llonger.
That's all good and godly, you know.
But IMHO, there's no reason to have a torrent being seeded by the same guy for that amount of time.
At least I feel so.
Why the frak would anyone want' to seed the same torrent for a year??
For ego, I guess.
Or for telling everyone on that site that they're good and godly cuz they seed, seeed, seed.....OMG, and did I forget to also say so as to seed??
I would just as much argue: Why not just re-upload the torrent at another time. Say a month or more if it's not being seeded by anyone that downloaded off, of you.
that's what I do. I just leave my uploaded torrent for someone else to catch some fish with.

Once you start cheating you can't go back seeding lol..it rhymes It's like a drug..
My ISP is crap, they never provided the advertised speed to us. My upload speed is real slow and unstable. Heck my download speed at times is also terrible. No choice, unless I want to go back to dialup.
there are many reasons to cheat for me
1- my upload speed isn't good enough to keep my ratio good or i will get ban (60 kb/s UP , 230 kb/s Do).that's mean if i want to download 1gb it will take 75 min , If i want to Upload it
it will take 290 min ( it won't happen ) ,that's happen ONLY If I use the maximum download & upload speed , seeders and leechers to take those speeds ( it won't happen too ). that's leads to keep seeding for along time it's so boring
2- For Fun
3- I Like SB-I
