One question. Lets say I convert a file to txt. Can I then edit this file, type something new in, delete stuff I don't need, etc...?

I know, I know... but this thing was a novelty back then. Nowadays you can find them at one third of what they cost on 2009, ignoring inflation. But at the time, I just had to have one now.

I did use and enjoy the hell out of it, though. There was this tiny spot on a school corridor which I frequented a lot, because I could get free Wi-Fi from it...

Sure, they become regular text files you can do whatever you want with. The only problem with the program is that it won't convert text that's part of an image, so (non-OCRed) scanned books for example will just produce empty pages.
