Nothing too spectacular about this tracker....since you can find most of the stuff on other good trackers...but really the rules there are ridiculous.
    Thanks

    ScienceHD is closing.

    And so this is farewell

This site was started over seven years ago, with the goal of becoming a welcoming place for people to share science, learning, and education - a place for people who are curious about how the world works to come together. We've had quite the journey since then, and I'm very glad to say that I think we achieved that very well. We've been working the last seven years to make this place the best god damn documentary tracker out there. And by leaps and bounds it has! We have the best users, tightest community, and for a niche tracker we certainly have a ton of torrents. I think that I can speak for all of the staff, current and past, when I say that ScienceHD has been one of the biggest passions in our lives. It has truly been an honor to have been able to see this site grow, change, and develop over the years from the tiny place we once were trying to figure ourselves out, to the documentary powerhouse that we became.

And so, I am sad to announce that it is time for this journey to come to an end. We would like to close down in a way that allows everybody to get as much of our content as possible, and would like to encourage you to share it to other sites as widely as you can. To help this along, we ask all of you to seed all of your torrents to the best of your ability, in order to allow your fellow users to get as much downloaded as possible, all the way to the end.

Regarding that, a few things you should know:

Donations are closed. We had about two months' worth of buffer, and this is allowing us to keep the servers on for a small extra period of time.
The web site will stay up until November 30 of this year, so that you have a month to download all the .torrent files you want.
The tracker will remain running for an additional month, to December 31, so you will be able to keep adding your downloaded .torrent files into your client and finish the data downloads. And even after Dec 31, if you leave your clients running, they will still be able to see the peers that they know about, and may still complete downloads.
Permanent sitewide freeleech will be set on
All exclusive tags will be removed and you are encouraged to share them elsewhere
We will be establishing an irc channel for refugees to stay in touch indefinitely. Details will be forthcoming.
We have an archive tool for grabbing torrent zips, which we will be adding some more functionality on to download lots of torrents at once: https://sciencehd.me/panel.php?page=archiver

We understand people's natural response might be to go out of their way to try to figure out how to change our mind, but we would genuinely appreciate it if you are able to respect our decision. Please know that it did not come lightly.

You all have truly made this site amazing, and I would like to thank all of you, the members, for your piece in this site and for helping to make this place the great place that it is.
    Thanks

    that's a real bad news.

I totally loved that tracker. they have lots of documentaries that are not available in my home country.

Glad they tell us so much time in advance.
    Thanks

I'm sure most of the content will be downloaded by some users and made available elsewhere. I heard they are closing due to security issues.
    Thanks

    Reason for closing.

As with any other site, occasionally staff members decide they do not have enough time to dedicate to the site any more, so they do what they feel is the right thing and step down. Being as we are a small niche site, losing 1 or 2 staff members makes it pretty much impossible for us to continue.

You might suggest we hire more staff, well unfortunately that is not as easy as it sounds, staff here have access to a lot of your personal information, so it would not be right for us to hire any old random person to be a staff member.
    Thanks

Unfortunate, but speaks well of the remaining staff.

one could also say that they have bad internal communication and failed to see that in time (and act accordingly).
