I choose Windows too, it's a nice system. It fails here and there, but what can one do? All major applications and games are developed aiming it. It's clearly the most used system in the world. For this reason I believe it's the most criticized and attacked. Why are there some many viruses/trojan/malware in windows? Because everyone uses it Think the other way, imagine if there were half windows users using linux? I'm sure a new wave of linux viruses would arise as well.

On the other hand I have already tried linux in the past, if my memory goes well it was red hat v.5 I guess. Back then we had to struggle to find hardware drivers, specially for modems (winmodems). Also I remember how geeks warned about the possibility of permanent burning the crt monitor if wrong refresh rates were configed. It was nothing like the vanilla windows It's not that I hate linux, I love it and it's concept and I am willing to try again, as I am sure the new distros are a lot more friendly than when I first tried.

I use Windows a lot more than any other OS. Windows Vista and XP to be precise.

However, I do use Ubuntu quite a bit as well, and I can only say if you don't know how to use it, that is no excuse. 9.04 is the best version yet, with support for many more WLAN cards, and designed to be more "out-of-the-box". Learn how to use the "Synaptic Packet Manager" and the various methods to install programs and you are set. If not, there is a lot of support to be found on the Ubuntu forums. If you feel that this is still too much, just use it as a live CD and learn from there.

But what value is my opinion? Perhaps I'm a qualified Linux admin, and was using it before GNOME was released. No. I started using it in April 2009. There is only one way to start and it begins at Ubuntu Home Page | Ubuntu (or which other distro you want, but Ubuntu definitely has the most active forums, and the most publicised about; as you progress you can switch to another distro).

I have always used Windows since 3.1
That's because Windows have more specs to choose from and most software is for it.
    Before that it was Dos.

Maybe people have a bad image or perception about linux like it's too dificult or rare that's why not too much use it.You have a great point
