Never heard of it, but wherever game developers falter, the modding community is usually happy to pick up the slack. You could check ModDB or Reddit for mods and enhancements.
My strategy game record is pretty short and limited to...
- Age of Empires: played it because who hasn't, but it didn't capture me.
- Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne: same.
- Warzone 2100: only one I actually liked, to the point of using an avatar from it here once. The PlayStation version's bad camera and controls and cap of 40 units and 65535 power meant I didn't get very far, but I'd eventually complete it on the PC many years later.
