You better give up on that '95. It is possible to make it work even on never quad-core PCs but in no way is the effort worth it.
If you look closely on MSFN, they use latest versions of MS Office and Firefox/Opera which are next to impossible without massive updating the OS. Forcefully, that is...
It is fun, yes, and I did it in 2010 but that was it. I ended up deleting the OS.
It would all have been for fun mostly (snatching and having to try updates being part of that :wtongue:), with the side effect of maybe having a system that's actually usable. But being limited to 25% of available memory is a killjoy, I already had enough of that with Intel's buggy drivers.Quote:

Win 95 was my first OS too. :D But was quickly swapped for Win 98 which was way more stable. What are you running !on it? I remember playing good old games like first versions of Doom, Age of Empires, Quake, Worms... Encarta 98!!!
The Incoming CD was bundled with the computer, and so I played that a lot. Encarta also had a game in which you wandered a castle and had to answer history questions to go further or something like that.Quote:

But well, many others are also affected. We'll try exhausting every possible way to formally complain about change, and they may revert it... maybe. And if not, perhaps we can work a different timetable with the school authorities off the record or something like that... *sigh*
