At this time i'm working on my new application "Alien Download Manager"
This new application will be a clone of IDM but only for free download services
So it will actually replace rapidshare plus so there probably wont be a next version
what i'm willing to do is give you the updated 4.0 with some bug fixes
The ADM will take some time before its finished probably mid july
This is beacause i'm in my exam period now, so i don't have a lot of time

Because Rapidshare saw you all where using the same account from different ip adresses
They changed the password

So i had an idea:

    the person who can make me the best logo for my new program
    Alien Download Manager

    gets the account and the password

I have made a small "version 4.01" that removes the URL from the EXE, causing autoupdating to instantly fail and show "Couldn't find update file". You can then click OK and use the program without waiting so much time for it to start. It's attached.

That's the "too many users are downloading, wait 2 minutes" message. Rapidshare must have changed that page's layout, and thus RS+ looks in the wrong place.

why not use USDownloader - it supports the largest number of hosting services, with the downside being limited to download one file after another (not simultaneously)

for rapidshare exclusively i use RSD

u should give it try its works good here with good speed also.

No need for any requirement its stand alone program i didn't setup any in order to get it work

Considering it's Rapidshare, I got decent speeds. Chose the TeliaSonera server if that helps.

You need the .NET Framework.

How do I choose it? It's blank when I click on it.

I think you can only select it while RS+ shows the download countdown.

Go to the settings ! Check option to select servers ! You can choose individual server or Random server. both option are available.

Why is there always "dummy" file when I open it?

If you use this program often, you'll have noticed it takes a long time to start up. This is because it checks for updates every time is run, but it can't reach the remote version file, since Alien333 dropped RS+'s development to focus on ADM.

However, I have made a small "version 4.01" that removes the URL from the EXE, causing autoupdating to instantly fail and show "Couldn't find update file". You can then click OK and use the program without waiting so much time for it to start.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, since the last time I used RS (a couple of weeks ago) I was under a premium account. :tongue: But I think you are right, the news I found about happy hour is more than 1 year later, and now they have happy hour intervals for premium users, where only 10% of the traffic is counted. :eek13:

this is grt software using its old version from along time..kinda loving it..

Why not updating? It takes one minute and v4.0 has more features.

Can it automatically renew my IP address ?

Yes if you add your reconnect program after every file in the queue.
