^ A lot of things don't work with Windows 8. It's not really a fair criticism or point when the OS is still considered to be in beta development (RC).
Is there a client file of uTorrent 3.1.3 for non-member users? (build 27220)
drag & drop works without problems on windows 8 Release preview. but there is problem with torrent status. i select the torrent, choose start and the status stays on stopped but in the status bar i can see the up/down speeds.
The release preview = release candidate, which unless Microsoft's software release model has changed RC is still classified as an 'in development' product (so they can change however much they want before retail). Quick google shows the RTM is expected for around late July and final GA (retail) around October.
So it does work... :klatsch_3:
When I try to do it I get the crossed out circle symbol.
i just noticed drag & drop doesn't work at all on windows 8 when using windows explorer. since i am using another file manager, total commander, i am able to do drag& drop without problem.
but doing drag&drop from windows explorer doesn't work with any program. i guess it's some problem with windows privileges.
edit: the solution is to completely disable UAC.
sourceQuote:
So, just open regedit and locate this key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System
In the right pane look for "EnableLUA" and modify its value to 0. Close regedit.
Done.

you will need to restart after editing the registry and after that drag & drop works from windows explorer.

UAC is indeed completely disabled here. But I'll figure something out, thanks.
if you mean that uac slider is set to lowest that doesn't mean uac is disabled. it is still active and still causes some limitations. after i disabled it with the registry edit drag & drop work from explorer.
even if that doesn't work for you then try total commander. it's the ultimate file manager.
could someone update the client file for uTorrent 3.1.3 (build 27220) please
Hrm, curious as to what the verdict is on running multiple instances of the mRatio exe? Yay? nay?
Don't know if anyone has previous mentioned it, search turned up nothing, so sorry if someone already has. But another possible future feature to include could be per tracker speed limits. IE. I'm running 5 torrents from tracker X each with different speeds, but I don't want my total speed at any time to exceed XX. This would be great!
