Checking VEM spoof client file
Hello gents,
I started by using Lucius' spoof client file for Qbittorrent V3.3.3 (which I edited to change the version to 3.3.5)
but a few days ago, Vuze spoof crashed (not vuze) and I got this error:
Code:
Spoof deactivated: Something gone wrong, please report this to SBI
followed by tons of java code gibberish. I didn't copy it.
Anon told me to compare "tracker announces" to check that the client file is good.
So I sniffed announces from VEM's spoofing QBT and from the real QBT.
(follow mmmmm's tutorial on using smartsniff)
6 hours later...
the smartsniff files were indeed different between the 2 clients!
- different client name
- different capitalization
- different sequence of parameters
I've fixed my client file.
Now, I have this difference in the smartsniff files that I can't say if it matters. I'd appreciate your input.
spoof: key=9C9QSxxx
real: key=5542dxxx
"key" is different, is that OK?
On the spoof client file, this parameter is not in any smartsniff files:
<param>{supportcrypto}</param>
can it be removed?
That's it. I think I'm very very close now. the learning curve was Himalayan!
and last but not least, a big thank to Anon, mmmmm and Lucius for their help.
