on which mod this emule based on?
It's based on the original 0.49a final source...
@Butcho
Have you seen my post with the question about the possibility to implement "filename obfuscation"? There was a lot posted afterwards so it could have easily been overlooked.
Regards
No sorry i didn't seen it until now, but normal i look the hole topic again after feature requests before i start with the next version. What makes that feature, i never heared about it yet? I think i can insert it if its usfull and the code is not to complex that i must change the half program....
Hi,
I have tested it with Applejuice and a standard eMule client on 2 computers. The Applejuice client was in my download queue but the filename of the file it requested was completely different from what it should have been (for example: music.rar should have been the name but what I saw as requested on the standard eMule was something like 2x53sd.mpg).
If this makes any sense at all to implement is up to you to decide. The Applejuice client has it for example.
Regards
ok that sounds interesting the client found the file over the hash but it has a very different name for more security if someone sniff the connections between clients or did i understand something wrong?
Hi,
this is exactly what happens.
The filename in the upload queue list of the original eMule client is just some mumbo-jumbo. The hash is the same, of course.
But bullshit like this becomes impossible with this feature.
Regards
i don't think that makes sense, if the file can still be found by hash, but i may be overlooking something  edit: please explain me that picture, i don't understand what's wrong with it... you don't want to show what you're downloading in screenshots?
also butcho, "ask server/kad for more sources" and "source cleanup" (i.e. remove queue full, low id, high qr clients) would be cool to have on the context menu for downloads  but no pressure! you have done a great work in this mod :top:
Hi,
it is a Abmahner-Screenshot. The original article is here.
In short: lawyers try to use these screenshots to prove illegal activity.
This article should explain everything.
Regards
i understand now, thanks for the link
also i have noticed that in this mod, search results persist even after you shutdown emule (i.e. if you make a search and don't close the search tab it'll still be there later), that's actually kind of nice
That is funny because we've planed to insert the old good LSD Reask buttons this weekend...
I think you can have this wish in my next release.
About the filename obfuscation i'll look if i can do something.
But i've a other question if you've tested some things with the applejuice clients perhaps you can tell me how they identificate each other because my sbi mod want be a member of that community...

yessss :klatsch_3:
maybe the search stuff could be added to the feature list? :D
sounds leet :cool2:Code:* search results persistence
i think that an origrinal 0.49a feature because i don't remember that i've changed anything for it and it's not implemented in my old release. Or i've produced a bug which works like a feature...
I will look after that...
