Try to raise your maximum DHCP range.
If this doesn't work, try to change your internal host address (so instead of 192.168.1.X change it to 192.168.2.50
Then do a restart of your laptop and check

Finally i fixed it.. Sory couldn't reply due to xams.. Problem was with router setting
I did what u said but no luck
1.So 1st thing that i tried was to change the default SSID.. it was aroud 15 character long with 3 "undesrcore _"special characters .. So i chnnged it and made it 5 character long without any soecial character in it but it failed too
2.Tried changing security to WEP that failed too
3. tried changinf wifi enrcyption. that failed too
4. In in end what i did was region was selected India and channel was set to AUTO.. I changed the channel to 2 and restarted the modem. N voila .. now my old laptop can detect it everytime :D problem solved
