do you have haali media splitter + ffdshow installed?
just instaled that 2 (haali+ffdshow) and now work fine. Thanks a lot :)
What a great tutorial. I think this should make it easier in case someone wanted to create lower size videos with little bit lower quality.
You should use x264 or x265. x264 is vastly superior to xvid and produces transparent encodes at similar bitrates. I use Hybrid GUI for x264. You can find the different GUI's for x264/x265 here MPEG-4 Encoder GUIs - Doom9's Forum. x265 kills x264 when it comes to low and average bitrate. It is a completely new, enhanced compression standard. And there is no reason why HEVC/H.265 shouldn't perform better (or at least equivalent) than AVC/H.264 at any bitrate. But it's clear that HEVC/H.265 will shine most at the very low bitrates, where AVC/H.264 starts looking bad. At the higher bitrates, where AVC/H.264 already looks great, there's just not much room for improvement
You need a supercomputer to encode either of them at an acceptable speed, though. Xvid is more accessible on that regard.
Yeah x265 is slow but x264 is much faster. I have an i5 2nd gen cpu and i get around 2-3 fps at the placebo preset.
On a modest Celeron N2806, I get 9 FPS on x264, while Xvid goes at over 400. I wouldn't even want to test x265... of course, if you encode regularly, you'll have a much better computer than that in the first place.
