IRC Idle Points, why?
On some trackers you get bonus points for being idle on their IRC server. Why would anyone create an IRC service in which every user will be idle, and award you with bonus points?
I don't understand what is their gain? Nobody chats or helps anyone, they are just being idle on their IRC.

Yes but if they won't chat, then this whole thing is useless, right? Plus they giveout poinhts for idling, not on post count.
-
You are correct about how many of them actually take interest on chatting, but bonus points are not a finite resource and the impact of idling on IRC server(s) is negligible. A success rate of 4 or 5 % is already great.
-
it's just a desperate attempt to get some members on the channel at all. and as anon said if only a small percentage do start chatting it's a success already
-
Irc bonus sucks anyway.
Who needs that when you're cheating TBs?!

Some trackers require you to be VIP in order to send invites. We have two options: money or seed points.
Guess where 90% of users went for?
