What's exactly the problem?
use a proper text editor
I think he means this:
xp: How to Show File Extensions in Windows
vista: How to Show and Hide File Extensions in Windows?
Check that option
No... I see the extensions. But they should be .txt not .TXT. TXT Is fastidius... only for that... is possible to apply .txt ? It always worked and now no! Grrrrrrrr
@*Soldier*
Sure thing, buddy.
If you're creating them via right-click -> New -> Text Document, then read the following.
- Go to Start -> Run.
- Type regedit and press ENTER.
- On the window that appears, click on the + to the left of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, and locate the key called ".TXT" without the quotes.
- Change its name to ".blablabla" and then to ".txt", always without the quotes.
- Close the registry editor and reboot your PC, or alternatively kill all instances of explorer.exe.
Done.
Right click --> New --> txt document... for example. The other extension seems to work all ok (avi... mp3...)
Maybe... I use PSPad... But I hate TXT big !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a new file created with PSPad dös also have uppercase extensions?
No, with PSPad don't happen... save .txt!
