I wish MPC had skins. I hate that grey status bar towards the bottom when you're playing with full zoom and want taskbar showing. It just stands out during a dark scene and can be annoying. I had to switch to KMPlayer cause of that.

I use MPC only for HD movies, everything else I use BSplayer.

MPC isn't updated for over 3 years now.
MPC-HC is continuously updated..
Let's move this to a newer thread.
I've been using MPC-HC since shmizan first recommended it. Good piece of software.
yes i use MPC HC for HD movies. I read some guide is was necessary to install enable CoreAVC codec with it. but I see no difference watching movies with it enabled.
Ive got both mpc and vlc.
compare:
mpc is more stable with lower qual output
vlc is more unstable with better qual output
As its name, really classic software. But now I'm using Kmplayer,a much more powerful software.
win7codec+Kmplayer
I too have CoreAVC and see no difference with it decoding or with ffdshow decooding AVC content.
it's stated to be the best AVC decoder available so I installed it.
I think that to be able to see a difference, you need an HD video card and HD monitor with HDMI cable connecting or something else that's really good
Anyone tried SPlayer_Official Website_The award winning high performance all-in-one player :confused2:
I'm sure your PC is better than mine
I have an AMD Athlon XP 3000+.
Can anyone tell me why I can't associate MP4 files with MPC icon? Instead it's winamp icon :mad2:
