How good is handwriting recognition these days? Last time I tried it (on my mobile phone six years ago), it was barely above acceptable.

I think most apps use MyScript for handwriting recognition. I've personally never tried it because I don't own a tablet but they have a web demo and it was able to read me writing with my mouse.

In all honesty, it's a cool feature to be able to write by hand and have the computer convert your writing to text but I feel like it will never be as fast or accurate as just typing the stuff out using a keyboard.
