heute wurde von Crytek die erste Beta Multiplayer-Demo von Crysis veröffentlicht.

Unverhofft kommt oft: Leise, still und heimlich hat Crytek gestern über das Downloadportal Fileplanet ein mehr oder minder offenes Multiplayer-Betaprogramm zu Crysis gestartet -- wobei offen in diesem Zusammenhang ein dehnbarer Begriff ist: Die erste Charge Betakeys ging an Abonnenten des Fileplanet-Founders'-Club und hatte für ungefähr zwei Stunden ausgereicht. Drei weitere Chargen Keys sind in den nächsten Tagen bzw. Wochen für Fileplanet-Abonnenten geplant. Das Downloadportal möchte in diesem Zusammenhang auch seinen Xfire-Klon Comrade bewerben, der einem eine Nachricht schickt, wenn es die die nächsten Keys gibt. Die Multiplayer-Beta steht übrigens unter einem Non-Disclosure-Agreement NDA. Deswegen ist es derzeit nicht gestattet, Infos oder Bilder darüber zu veröffentlichen. Nvidia enwtickelt schon fleißig Treiber für den Crysis-Start. Zum Betatauftakt gibt es schon erste neue Beta-Forceware-Treiber, die Crysis unterstützen.Crysis
Die offizielle Demo zu Crysis soll in zwei Wochen, am 25. September, erscheinen. Die wird wahrscheinlich den kompletten ersten Level aus der Singleplayer-Kampagne enthalten
