    T2: Trainspotting 2

Highly looking forward to it. The original is a classic.

Does this trailer have spoiler for those who still didn't watch the first?

no such spoilers here other than reminding us of what those characters looked like or how they behaved in the first movie:

    Trainspotting (1996) excellent

T2 is not gonna be a classic!
it's one of these movies that are not meant to have a sequel.

i have to watch it again with English subs, their Scottish accent was a bit challenging.

It shows nothing you wouldn't know from the IMDb blurb, which I'll quote for your convenience: "Renton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends."

The original's ending was left somewhat ambiguous, so I'd say this sequel has potential. It all depends on what happened to each of the characters during these two decades, and what their motivations are now.

I watched T1 last Friday night (haven't watched since 199x something) and then watched T2 the day after.
T2 didn't impress me much. but I often like a movie better after a second watch.

back then I really disliked the story with the baby in the movie and I still do today.
However I was surprised that T1 is still so great after all these years. Underworld's music "Born sleepy" and "Dark and Long" still sounds awesome today.

You've already watched it! I have to wait until the 16th before it premieres here, and I'm not going to watch any crappy CAMs that may show up in the meantime. IMDb said the 16th, an ad I saw on the street today said the 2nd But I don't want to go to the cinema all by myself, I'll see if anyone at work also wants to watch it.

As for that particular scene, let's say it was a turning point of the movie, and we all knew nothing good was in store for a baby in that environment.

    Some more good Underworld tracks...

Of course, if we're talking about the Trainspotting soundtrack, one particular song played during a very memorable scene must be mentioned.

I watched it today and liked it a lot. It had the same pacing, structure and charm as the original. Plenty of nods and flashbacks to it too. My only complaint is the part where Mark and Begbie go to the same club on the same night and sit on bathroom stalls right next to each other; come on, what are the odds. Other than that, it was nice to see the gang all together doing what they do best, and things never got boring. 9/10.

this describes my impression in short:

    mediocre
    remember this, remember that
    not good enough
    uninspired nostalgia piece by boyle

in other words, a money grab, thus 5/10 seems generous

If it's any consolation, I want to revisit the first movie after watching this one
