Installation:
1. Download and install Vuze (if this is a Beta/CVS update, download the latest NON BETA release) (Vuze : Java BitTorrent Client - Download).
2. BACK UP YOUR TORRENT LIST! IT IS LIKELY YOU WILL LOSE IT!
3. Optional: If you want to make a backup of your old Vuze version. Go to the install directory and rename Azureus2.jar to Azureus2.jar.bak
4. Extract the files using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files) or equivalent to %PROGRAMFILES%\Vuze (C:\Program Files\Vuze) and overwrite ALL files.
5. Run Vuze and Enjoy!
NOTE: For other operating systems simply replace the Azureus2.jar. For 64-bit, portable, and Vuze Plus support read the README in the appropriate package.

Troubleshooting:
Before posting problems please make sure:
1. You have updated Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to version 6 (Java SE Downloads).
2. You have removed the Vuze folder in %PROGRAMFILES% (C:\Program Files\Vuze).
3. You have removed the Vuze folder in %APPDATA% (The folder may be hidden).
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Vuze for XP
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Vuze for Vista
4. Reinstalled Vuze using the package from Vuze : Java BitTorrent Client - Download
5. Re-applied the hack from the downloaded archives.

Warning: Performing steps 2 and 3 will wipe your torrent list and Vuze settings.

i cant run it in osx macbook air

1 ) i installed the original vuze(mentioned in the link)
2 ) replaced the azureus2.jar file in package contents folder
3) ran vuze and it stops in initialising core and rss plugin loading window

help please

Can someone explain me the Custom ID field under perfect spoof option? If I leave it unchecked then ID isn't read from file (?), will perfect spoof still be perfect? Also, is there a way for me to generate a new custom ID?

It's an optional feature to force vuze to spoof a uTorrent version with a specific custom peerId.

You just need a well maded client file and your spoofing process will be perfect, as I said before it's optional not must-use option .

Yes, checking "custom id" option and add you id in the blank field.

It's better and safer to stay up with the last version, you don't know what got patched .

Hi,
I don't know if it is noted on articles or not.
I am on GNU/Linux x64 and having crashes randomly time to time. Replacing swt file from Eclipse solves the problem everytime.
SWT: The Standard Widget Toolkit
Click on "more" and get Linux (x86_64/GTK 2) file, move/replace the swt file to the vuze folder.

Thanks for pulling out such a great mod!

I have followed the instructions on the manual and I cant seem to be able to generate any fake upload, the count is very much dead .. Do I need to forward any specific ports here? Does it mean that this torrent file is dead or no real leachers found to fake seed to them?

Is it really necessary to install vuze in C drive? cause I often want my non Microsoft/windows apps in D, or I dont have a choice?

Edit: Also is it ok to download vuze from its main site? latest version have bloatware and toolbars right?

I don't think it is necessary to install in C drive. You can choose any other location.

It's perfectly ok to download vuze from main site.

You may want to use a portable install to keep the program and its settings contained in the directory of your choice.

So im using Windows 7 x64, and I have installed Vuze in drive D

so the files I should download are
VPEM_Portable_Support.zip
PerfectSpoof2_Docs.zip

Edit3: The Files of VPEM_Portable_Support.zip, which contains Path.properties, Vuze_Portable.jar and Vuze64_Portable, doesn't have any replaceable files is this ok?

and on the instruction: 4. Edit the Path.properties file to set directory preferences, I cant understand whats inside it, is there an easier way?
