    Sparvar

Sparvar.org is a Swedish torrent site, the closest one to replace SweDVDr, among the many new ones which have cropped up.

Has a fairly good user base. The ones called 'sparvar' are the power users.

Categories: The main focus is on DVDr's with custom Swedish subtitles. You will most likely find all DVD's that you may want, once the Swedish subtitles are available. I have even seen some good old DVD's, which may not be easily found at other sites. Also, many TV series can also be found, many of them Swedish. Like SweDVDr, there are two main broad categories : New and Archive.

The new ones are usually around 150 or 200 in number. They have good number of seeders on most torrents. Even a few seeders will be good enough, considering, most have fantastic broadband connections.

The Archive has some 4000+ torrents, most PAL DVD's, HD movies, and series.

Forums are also an active place. I manage to translate Swedish into English using Google translate. Recently, they have added an English subforum too.

Fagelfron 'seeds': Depending on your contribution in term of seeding times, upload times, etc, a user is awarded some points, which can then be deemed for upload, or invites etc. For invites, you need to have uploaded atleast 500 GB.

User Classes: The standard Power user status is achieved when 30 GB is uploaded, and ratio is above 1.05. A Power user can see snatch list, seed peer list (so important for us!). I am not a power user there yet, so cannot screen shot a peer list.

Overall, this is the perfect replacement for SweDVDr, good no of DVD's, variety, fabulous speeds one can get limited only by your connection, good forums. Presently, an invite, or an application is the only way to get in.

    Tracker URL: http://www.sparvar.org/
    Category: Mainly DVDR movies, series
    Number of Users: about 3000
    Number of torrents: about 4500

I indeed heard this is the best and fastest of all the sites that sprung up after SweDVDR died. Great review, thanks once again for filling my request.

From what I see in the source code, this site has better anti-cheating script than SoftMP3, be careful when you cheat on this site.

SweDVDR's source code should be the next to be analyzed! But no pressure.

Looks like a cool site for people who speak Swedish. Unfortunately I am not one of them. Good site, I wish there was an equivalent in my language.

Google Translate Client works wonders for me on other "foreign" trackers. I use it on a regular basis in forums and in the descriptions/comments.

I'll review SweDVDR's script for my next thread, but unfortunately SweDVDR will be the last one,
I'm running out of private tracker that release their source code to public.

One thing to remember when cheating at Sparvar is that they note your real UP and DL speed when you sign up. So it looks quite strange when you suddenly UL (cheat) with a 300k/s when they know you only have like 100k/s max if they were to check it of course

According Zorvak's analysis, they automatically log it:
If upload speed > 300 KB/s and ISP is tbcn.telia or skanova, consider that user is cheating.

You also have to submit your speeds if using their invitationform to get in.
