So,I wanna hear your suggestion...

Firefox because it has got great addon support

in fact I don't use addons.. though they make my firefox more powerful, on the other hand, they make it also "heavy",more CPU, slower speed..

I like FF because it is open-source and famouse for its safety.

I like Opera because of its effect of wheel, very comfortable.. It always calls itself the fastest browser, at least in the advertisements..

And...Chrome...I dont know much about it....

I use both Opera and Firefox. Opera is fast and I'm used to it the most, but Firefox is greatly stable and extensible.

And...Chrome...I dont know much about it....

There's an stickied thread about it in our Software section, you should check it.

Also, you may want to do a search for "Xenocode Browser Sandbox", which will let you run different browsers virtualized, and therefore unable to affect the rest of your OS.

"Much better" is pretty vague, and really depends upon what you're looking for in a browser. Opera has been around a long time, has hordes of fans, and isn't too hard to customize to your liking. Chrome is the new kid, but is quickly taking off as a favorite in the browser wars. Firefox is the legend of the group. It can do pretty much anything with the right extension (I know - I use over 60).

It's really dealer's choice, you know? Try them all (use a portable version if you don't want them all installed), mess with the setting a bit, and find what you like best.

many friends tell me that opera/ safari is better for browsing speed.

firefox's key is its powerful scripts and extension...

anyway,I find Firefox costs me more CPU...:frown:

With a 4 mBit connection, I have to wait milliseconds just for a page to load with FF; why should I switch to Chrome, lose all my add-ons, only to find that I'm still waiting milliseconds. Suddenly the claim that it's the fastest browser (by unofficial sources mind you) doesn't make that much of an impact upon me.

All 3 are crap..i have not find until now a browser without to get me errors...firefox crash me hard..stay a lot to load...on ie the flash images it's not every time loaded succesfully..on chrome it's hard to me to Bookmarks the fav pages like i want..and i don't like the design...opera has the same problems like firefox conbined with ie problem and the Chrome bookmarks:confused:

Currently I use Firefox 2.x and IE 7.x, but I willing to try this Chrome, then Opera. It's been some 2 or 3 years since I tested Opera. I remember it was OK.

At this point, I would place my vote on Firefox 3. Moved off IE since V6, now that IE8's here, I might just change my mind about that. Chrome's awesome as we all agree, but it's still not fully-featured to provide a COMPLETE browser experience yet, at least to me.

Firefox 3.x with addons.
then Chrome
then IE7 (not sure about IE8 yet)

don't use Safari or Opera so can't say anything about those 2.

If you want to try, you can get virtualized copies of IE8, Safari and Opera here (http://www.xenocode.com/Browsers/). :top:

Well said, it's more of the features it offers that put it on the top of the list. Add-on integrations too.
