Das Vorurteil, unter einem freien Betriebssystem könne DRM nicht funktionieren, ist weit verbreitet. Stimmen die technischen Voraussetzungen, lässt sich jedoch auch unter Linux eine wirkungsvolle Rechteverwaltung implementieren.

According what I could understand from the article, there seems to be no feasible way to implement DRM on Linux systems...

This is good, since "Linux DRM" sounds pretty much like an oxymoron to me - the former representing freedom, and the latter, being tied to what the big companies want.

Seems Novell won and will still receive a piece of SCO's income, regardless of having sold the Unix source code to them. They can appeal, but then won't be able to renew their other claims...

Der ursprüngliche Post Linux&DRM meinte, dass Linux der Film-/Musikindustrie den Gefallen macht und sich in den DRM-Käfig einsperren lässt, damit auch der Linux-User seine Musik&Filme abspielen können.

Ich weiss zwar nicht wie man das mit einem der Grundgedanken von Linux (Freie Information für alle) vereinbaren lässt, aber bitte wer auf seinen Kommerz-Müll nicht verzichten kann...
