eMule Pre-Mod poll!

Hi people.
I need to know also your opinion.
For pre-mod 1.2, I've thought to port all leecher features old & new to another mod code base. That's cause NeoMule is too complicated for many users and also cause neomule coder is not much active.

So I think to merge to one of stulle mods ... cause he is an active coder. Which means to merge my code to scarangel or mephisto or stullemule.
Sincerly i prefer scarangel or mephisto cause they are xtreme based ... which is a better base for leecher code ...

I think mephisto would be the best because this mod works very good, there is a new version out and i know no other leecher based on that source....

My vote goes for Mephisto, since it has a lot of features (both the Xtreme ones and its own) at the same time it's easy to use for newcomers. Plus you've said it's a better base for leecher features. :top:

@Butcho: a Mephisto "special" edition exists, but it's not a real leecher - the most it has is manual kick & ban. :tongue:

any other choice? mephisto and scarangel are mod's mod.. seems their speed is not very stable.

too much settings will make users confused.

just say my own experiece..

stullmule: prefers upload

scarangel:prefers download , better choice for ADSL user (2M)

mephisto: presers download, better choice for LAN user (8M 10M or higher)



everyone has his own net environment.


all of the above is the result i test in China.

I think for a leecher mod it could be scarangel or mephisto because the main difference between this two are on upload and release settings(I prefer Mephisto design).They also are lighter than stulle.
@xixifrank:These mods are coded by Stulle who is very active so it is an assurance for regular new mods versions.
@Sarutobi:If you choose one of this mod please increase the maxglobal sources please.

Well, when I coded the UniAteam mod ... 1 year ago ... I based it on xtreme. And then people asked me so many features that after some months it had more features than scarangel. And many (most) equal features. So I prefer to have normal feature already implemented and concentrate on leech part.

@xixifrank: The limit con global hardlimit and all enforced ratio will be removed. Don't worry :biggrin:

+1 with you Sarutobi it's better if you can concentrate on leech features.Althougt Mephisto had nearly all features but it is an easy to use mod so it seems perfect
