Shareaza mod possible?

hello to everyone, but I wanted an information and can not change Shareaza and make a Shareaza leecher ?

For example, add a Shareaza, torrent dowload reduction , or multi seeder ecc ecc

Yes, it's possible. For example, Smasher has made a Shareaza L33cher edition @ 00de, with several cheating/leeching features. Of course it's based on an old version, and you need to be a 00-member to be able to use it - it has a very secure login system.

the Shareaza L33cher edition is too buggy,...and i cant connect to edonky network!!! well maybe it give a new mod for this ?

iam a reg.user on 00 ... the features can i use!!! but i can`t connect to edonkey network and sometimes gnutella1 too!!! can i import my new dowloads with shareaza 2.4 into the old leecher version ?

Maybe you can, there should be a wizard to import partial downloads from another install.

Regarding your connectivity issues, maybe you can try bootstrapping to the eD2K network using this server.met file (http://server-met.de/), and to Gnutella from these GWebCaches (http://kevogod.trillinux.org/).

Of course this isn't the Shareaza L33cher support thread. :wink:

There should be an button to import downloads in Shareaza's eDonkey2000 settings dialog.

but i can`t connect to edonkey and gnutella1...with this leecher version,....in shareaza 2.4 it works fine

For eD2K do the following:

1. Start Shareaza
2. Press F8
3. Right click on an empty white space
4. Click on "Download server.met"
5. Paste this URL:

6. Click OK
7. Wait a few seconds until it's downloaded, then try to connect to eD2K again.

For Gnutella:
1. Press the F9 key to open the "Discovery Services" screen.
2. Right click on an empty space and choose "Add Service". In the appearing box paste any of the following addresses:

so it works..thanks for that, but i can`t import the dwonloads from the newer version of shareaza....maybe u can help again ? maybe it give a tool to bak, convert ect. !!

Do you mean that you don't see how to import them, or that that option doesn't work?

To import downloads:
Go to Tools -> Shareaza Settings -> Networks -> eDonkey2000, and click Import... in the right side. Browse to your other Shareaza install's temp folder, and click OK. Old downloads should be imported.

If it's that the procedure doesn't work:

1. Copy the files in your Shareaza incomplete folder to your eMule or eDonkey incomplete folder. Be sure to clear out any other eDonkey or eMule partials before doing this, so you won't mix them up. Also, make sure you copy them, so if you mess up, you can try again.

2. Start eDonkey/eMule, look for and start a download for every lost file, in the order they appear in your temp folder.

3. Wait until you get at least 1 full source for every file; The progress bars should be totally blue.

4. Close eDonkey/eMule

5. Delete every ".part" file in the incomplete folder. Keep ".part.met" files, though!

6. Rename each Shareaza incomplete file to their respective .part file (ie. 1.part or 001.part, then 2.part or 002.part), in the order you searched for them.

7. Launch Donkey Doctor and makes sure the options point to the proper eDonkey/eMule folder and the Incomplete folder.

8. Use "Test Met" to recover every file, it will update the .met

9. Open Shareaza, go into the eDonkey2000 options and import the downloads you just repared.

10. You should now have your downloads recovered.

we had a little chat a couple of weeks about that...so our resident coders reconsidered releasing such a mod,maybe soon or maybe not at all...let's just wait & hope for better mods :top:
