Metallica’s label Universal stepped in and canceled an interview with a Swedish newspaper last week after one of its writer reviewers said he got his copy of the album via BitTorrent. The writer, Jonn Jeppsson, who actually reviewed an edited version of ‘Death Magnetic’, admitted he downloaded it from The Pirate Bay.

LOL, they canceled the interview after realizing someone they barely are related to and know has done the same as millions of people around the world, which they are fully aware of instead...

It's a bit silly to cancel the whole thing just because they now "personally" know someone that has pirated the album.
They have even stated themselves that the "problem" was that apart from having downloaded it, he didn't get the version that's officially selling on CDs, but another one.
Then they should be glad that the "real thing" hasn't been downloaded by him, IMO! Unless they're just trying to convince themselves and others
