Over the course of its development, much of the focus for The Force Unleashed has been on the PS3 and 360 versions, what with their newfangled technologies and hyper-bump-vertex-pixel-mapped-real-time surfaces*. But what about the humble Wii? Not only is it a more than capable machine, it has a level of tactility in control that no other system does.

Enter Krome, the Australian studio that is heading up the Wii version of The Force Unleashed. We dropped by its offices recently to have a chat about the game and go hands-on with the first four levels or so.

First up, don't think of this as a straight port. The Force Unleashed is its own beast in several ways. As you'd expect, it has its own custom control solution, as well as content that has been tweaked and customised for the Wii. What that means is that Krome hasn't had to try and cram the PS3 and 360 experience onto Wii; the team has been given the freedom to make changes so that levels flow as well as they can. Not only that, but Wii owners can also expect to see five completely unique missions, set on three locations that aren't in the other versions at all. Not to mention the duel mode.
