LameDropXPd is a practical frontend for LAME that makes things easier to the user, as there is no need to know about command line usage: most LAME settings are reachable on a graphical interface. Besides encoding WAV files to MP3, it can transcode Ogg Vorbis files, decode MP3 files to WAV, and auto-tag the files it encodes.

Converting music couldn't be easier with this... Just drag the .wav (or .ogg) to its "window", and it'll output a .mp3. It can also do the opposite (convert MP3s to WAV). Right-click it to choose the encoding quality and where the new files shall be stored among some other settings, which are saved in a .ini file in the same folder where the EXE is. Very useful if you need a fast, non-invasive program to convert your music to MP3 for sharing, or have to get a WAV off some tracks you have downloaded to burn them to a CD. :top:
