Hi,

I just wondered whether there might be a private tracker for korean stuff...
I already know of many public trackers and asisandvdclub, fsseeders, hdcorea etc.

But I'm looking for something which was founded by koreans. General 0day would be great.

The ScT account which I'll give for a good private tracker has not much upload but is older so that it'll be safe to trade it.

Thank you.

Asian - Korean - Chinese - Japanese - Thai - HongKong - Movies - TV Drama - Music - Torrents - AvistaZ Asian Torrents (http://bt.avistaz.com/)

Download Free Phim, Nhac, Phan Mem, Karaoke - Vietfiles.org (http://www.vietfiles.org/)

on both sites you need to register and both sites seems to have some korean stuff.

You could also try downloading korean movies by using usenet(nzb).
If you need help setting up some free usenet servers and combining them too have a good speed, PM me.

Edit: My contact wasn't much help. They basically shuttled me towards http://bittalk.org. To it's credit it does have a bittorent invitation thread, and most everyone there speaks Korean. Might give it a shot.

I spent a year in Korea and was able to ask my boss for this or that Korean movie that was just released, who in turn would ask her brother to get it. But whenever I asked in my extremely broken Korean how they'd come by it, they'd always just kinda shrug and smile. The one time I witnessed someone downloading movies en masse was in a PC-cafe, and it definitely wasn't bittorrent. I couldn't read Korean at the time, so I couldn't tell you the name of the program. And even if I had, it's generally not a good idea to look over some strangers shoulder and try to sound out the words on their screen.

One thing you have to keep in mind though is that in Korea copyright laws are really lax. Movies are being sold in all the major subway or on the streets in open view the day they hit theatres. You can pick it up for probably two or three bucks. Music is all streamed, and everyone has internet on nearly every electronic item they own. All of that to say that the need to share stuff electronically really isn't very strong.

So while there definitely is a market for this kind of thing somewhere, you might have to dig pretty deep before you hit paydirt. In the meanwhile I'll keep my eyes peeled and throw a few more hints towards my ex-boss.

You might also want to start looking at applications other than bittorrent as a source. If your just looking to watch stuff and don't care about it's quality, check out crunchyroll.

Thanks for this great explanation, Nobody, I think you're right. Koreans really don't seem to bother uploading or downloading since they can get everything on the streets. I took a look at all other sites posted here but none could satisfy my needs. Thank you all for participating.

And don't be too sad about not getting the ScT account. I might give it away in the future so always be ready
